We have been lucky enough to round up a few Reindeer for the Holiday Season. Bringing woodland magic to holiday decor through crafting these charming reindeer involves using natural logs, highlighting the unique character and grain of the wood. The process utilizes time-honored mortise and tenon joinery for all connections (legs, neck, antlers). This woodworking technique involves fitting a protruding “tenon” from one log into a perfectly carved “mortise” (hole) in the connecting log, creating an interlocking, incredibly strong, and durable bond without relying on metal fasteners or simple glue. The result is sturdy, decorations built to last.
